Villa Holidays In Italy

It was in Italy with the Romans that the idea of the Villa began, the country is so rich in history, cuisine and culture you'll need to rent a villa two or three times to make you sure you don't miss anything that this country has to offer. From Alpine winter-sport cold winters and hot summers in the north to more temperate conditions the further south you go; the Italian climate varies depending on location. South Rome experiences stifling summers due to the Sirocco, a hot and humid African wind.

Spring and autumn are probably the best times to look at holiday rentals in Italy. If it's sun, sea and sand you're after, you couldn't do better than Sicily or Sardinia. If the natural world and startlingly beautiful scenery is your thing then Umbria or the Italian Lakes will fit the bill. Ancient Rome, Greek templates and Moorish architecture, wherever you go you'll be surrounded by history. Itis difficult to imagine anywhere else in the world as dense in culture as Rome, while Florence retains its renaissance atmosphere. Rich vineyards and olive groves flourish in the Chianti area of Tuscany, but if Italian food is your thing then Campania, home of pizza, spaghetti , buffalo mozzarella, the Amalfi coast, the ancient city of Pompeii and the romantic island of Capri, is for you.

Accommodation for tourists in Italy is plentiful and all of a pretty good standard. Villas in Italy~Italy villas can be found to suit your personal taste and requirements, whatever region you decide to visit. Going off the mainland, you'll find Sicily, the largest, most populated island in the Mediterranean, nestling between Europe and Africa. It's a sunny home to orange and lemon groves and is liberally scattered with ancient Greek temples and Baroque churches. Sardinia is the second largest island and another popular tourist destination with a gorgeous coastline and holiday rental properties that provide a charming base to explore the many unique features not found anywhere else in Italy.

Kin Shop Wants to Forage for Your Lunch (nymag)

**Autumn olive berries will spice up cocktails.**

Presumably as part of some sort of detox plan before he starts eating ostrich
schnitzel all the time at his upcoming place, Marrow, Kin Shop's Harold
Dieterle is hosting a special foraged-foods luncheon on November 19. The $50
meal includes four courses highlighting locally picked plants (sample dish:
roasted pigeon breast with foie gras, bitter greens, mini sunchokes, and
angelica leaf curry). There's a cocktail pairing for $25 extra, featuring
quaffs fashioned from housemade drinking vinegars (trrrend alert!) in flavors
including autumn olive berry, shown right. Lunch runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30
p.m and reservations may be made by calling the restaurant.
